Junior golfers are invited to participate in the 2012 Sandpiper Golf Club Junior Academy. The Academy will provide a place for junior golfers of all ages and playing abilities to develop their golf skills and knowledge. The goal of The Academy is to provide an educational atmosphere and simulating golf experience. Each week, starting mid-June, Sandpiper Golf Club will host a ninety minute group instruction clinic divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The curriculum is specifically designed to give each player the skills necessary to advance from one level to the next. Each level will be a series of three, four week programs. Participants have the option of purchasing individual clinics, one four week series or access to all three, four week programs. The goal of this year's 2012 Junior Academy is to teach participants about the fundamentals of the golf swing and how to play and enjoy the game of golf.
The Sandpiper Junior Academy will be available to juniors ages of 8-18 and it will be held every Saturday for 12 weeks between June 9th through August 25th.
Each Session will start promptly at 4:00 PM.
All skill levels and playing abilities are encouraged to participate.
During each session juniors may join the beginner, intermediate or advanced clinic. The curriculum at each level is specifically designed to help each player reach the next level.
The Summer Clinic Series will be split up into 3, 4 week series.
2012 Schedule
Session #1 - June 9th through June 30th

Clinic Schedule:
- Arrival
- 10 minutes - Fitness and Nutrition: Each session will begin with warm-up exercises and a brief discussion about the importance of nutrition and eating healthy.
- 30 minutes - Golf Skills and Curriculum: Students will break off into their different groups and begin instruction.
- 10 minutes - Water break.
- 30 minutes - Golf related games/Rules: Activities, drills or exercises that simulate real golf experiences. Rules lessons for the Intermediate and Advanced level players.
- 10 Minutes - Review: Briefly go over the days lessons with each group to remember for next time.
